Oliver and the art of management systems at DVS Tooling - A journey through innovation and engagement

In our blog series "A day in the shoes of ...", today we take a look at Oliver, who plays a central role in supporting management systems at DVS Tooling GmbH. Since the Tooling division was founded in March 2015, Oliver has been using his expertise and commitment to drive quality and innovation in the microgeometry of toothed components.

Oliver describes his working environment as the entire company, where a large whiteboard in his office constantly visualizes the current projects and tasks - a unique feature at DVS Tooling. The team, or as Oliver calls it, "all the Toolings", is characterized by diligence, cordiality and the irreplaceable value of each individual. Communication and cooperation within the team are characterized by openness and the joint pursuit of practicable solutions.

Oliver's days start with a trip to the office, and in the evenings he volunteers, for example in the fire department or e-biking. The challenges of his role lie in the constant search for new solutions and involving people in operational issues. One particular success was the initial ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification, a milestone for him and the young company.

Internal communication is direct and uncomplicated, while Oliver is also active across the DVS Group and contributes to the implementation of management systems. A current major project is the preparation of a sustainability report (CSRD) for the entire DVS TECHNOLOGY GROUP, a topic that Oliver finds particularly exciting.

For Oliver, values such as honesty, teamwork and helpfulness are essential and are also reflected in the work culture at DVS Tooling. The company promotes the further training and personal development of its employees, with Oliver emphasizing that the willingness to undergo further training is very important for joint success.

Oliver advises those interested in similar positions to be open and curious. Important qualities for success in his role are time management, openness to new ideas and the ability to win people over to operational issues. Even if no comparable position is currently advertised, Oliver emphasizes the importance of early succession planning in order to be able to continuously pass on and secure the organization's knowledge and responsibility.
